Dr. Hossein Bassir is a board certified periodontist and Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology. He received his dental degree (DDS) from the Tehran University of Medical Science, and completed his periodontology training from Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Bassir is a recipient of Harvard University Presidential Scholarship and a past recipient of the Joseph L. Henry Award recognizing excellence in research and clinical training from Harvard. In addition, he received Henry D. Epstein Award; Award for overall excellence in scholarship, patient care, and service to the school, colleagues, and community.
Dr. Bassir’s clinical and research interests have been on implant dentistry, laser in dentistry, and use of innovative concept and technologies for periodontal regeneration. Dr. Bassir has lectured nationally and internationally on periodontics and implant dentistry. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, and he is ad hoc reviewer for scientific journals in the fields of implant dentistry and periodontology..
